I loved this edition. There's so much great content and it's ALL about the students.
"The City" shows great opportunities students have in many cities around the world. That photo is so striking, and the stories are so rich.
"The World" shows how connected these experiences can be – students who studied abroad in Berlin gave an art show in NYC. Showing, not telling, is so critical to this work.
And then the features. We talk about the global experience A LOT in this work, and I always try to ask the question "so what?" These students tell that side of the story so naturally.
Finally, the comic strip. I was incredibly skeptical of this idea when it was pitched to me. Would it be patronizing? Cheesey? Too unsophisticated? Many months after this piece printed (and I was thrilled with the outcome) I was at a conference on content marketing where the salient message was: hire great talent, then let them work. That's the faith I needed to have with this concept, and I'm happy I did.
